Fantastic straight ahead sushi - always fresh and excellent! We are locals. This is our quiet go-to sushi place.

Exceptionally good sushi and always amazing service! I order from here regularly and when I do venture out for other sushi (in town or beyond), I end up comparing it to Amberjack. Fish is so fresh and portions are quite generous.

I'm surprised to see less-than-five-star reviews for Amberjack. I have ordered food-for-delivery from Amberjack an embarrassing number of times and it's always so incredibly good. I've eaten here in-person as well and enjoyed that experience. I was raised on an island with a fisherman for a father, so I am a little spoiled when it comes to fish, and I have to say that I'm always so pleased by the quality and freshness of Amberjack's sashimi (and sushi, in general), particularly the hamachi. I understand people stating that it is a little spendy, which it is, but the portions are large and they don't skimp on the amount of fish in/on any rolls or sashimi, so you really do get what you pay for. I'm sure I will be ordering again soon.

Amberjack Sushi is the BEST‼ The sushi is always fresh and DELICIOUS! Michelle, the wife of the husband and wife team always recognizes me when I call to place my order. Small business, but I Highly recommend you trying Amberjack Sushi if you like sushi and you won't be disappointed‼‼

In our humble opinion, we have high expectations for sushi and this met them. All of our fish was incredibly fresh and prepared to perfection. I especially enjoyed the tai nigiri! We also enjoyed the hamachi sashimi, crab hand rolls and shrimp tempura (while eating, I noted how yummy the tempura was). Looking forward to coming back next time we are in town.

Great sushi, the best in Mill Valley! Plus great owners who care about their customers and give you a GREAT meal. Highly recommend!

Ordered the teriyaki salmon bento box for lunch that came with avocado roles, miso soup, rice, and a salad. Service was fast and the food was delicious! Closed for indoor dining during Covid but perfect for takeout and eating in the Mill Valley main town square.

First timers in ordering out from Amberjack. Super fresh and well presented sushi. Very impressed and pleased to have tapped into this local gem.

I got to admit, I was pleasantly surprised by my Amberjack sushi dinner. The place is literally a hole in the wall near downtown Mill Valley. So if you're expecting an elegant Sushi Ran-type experience, then you should probably go to Sushi Ran. Personally, I really dug the low-key charm of this restaurant. Nothing pretentious here. Just good sushi in a friendly neighborhood setting, and at reasonable prices. My dining companion and I ordered the Cherry Blossom roll (made with tuna, yellowtail, cucumber, avocado & kaiware) and a Spicy Tuna Roll. And then we split the Fried Spring Roll appetizer special-of-the-day. Everything was lip-smacking good. Service was on-point without being obsequious. Neither of us were drinking, but our hard working servers kept our water glasses full throughout the meal. The entire dinner for 2 only set me back $30! I couldn't believe it. I would totally come back to Amberjack to satiate my sushi cravings.
